Kim Jones is a native of Austin, Texas, with a diverse background in HR and over 20 years of experience in Business Development. She has demonstrated success with multiple start-up companies and is experienced at forecasting the needs of an organization while linking its business goals and objectives.
She began her career supporting an entrepreneur who was a true visionary. She learned early on the importance of being able to work outside of a job description in order to get things done. Doing what needs to be done, regardless of hierarchy, has become one of her core values. This has equipped Kim to be able to serve as an individual contributor, leader, and consultant for small to mid-sized companies based all over the United States, giving her a wealth of knowledge and experience. She has been a valuable asset to businesses in both their start-up and growth phases.
While her range of experience is broad, she maintains specific skills in:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Organizational Structure
- HR Strategy
- Payroll
- Business Operations
Her talents in creating personal connections with employees allow her to be proactive in assessing their engagement as well as coaching them to become better versions of themselves. Her outlook is that there is rarely a problem that doesn’t have a solution. She has an innate critical thinking ability and approach using research, looking for consistencies and inconsistencies in logic, and keeping an open mind. This ability has proven successful in economic declines, acquisitions, and, more recently, during the pandemic. She has proven herself as a decisive decision-maker and one to rely on in turbulent times. After 12 years in Business Development and HR, Kim obtained her SHRM-Certified HR Professional certification. She is also a Certified Professional for Wiley’s PXT Select products.
Kim was a foster parent in her early twenties and adopted two bio siblings. She then went on to have two additional children, which completed her family. She moved outside of Austin to Georgetown, TX, in 2012. She has seen the growth of Austin and its surrounding areas over the last decades and truly enjoys being a small part of the growth of many organizations!
